Free Use Anti-Corruption License

Human Explanation

This page serves to explain the license in a simple and comprehensible way for normal human beings ( as in those who are not lawyers ). It does not grant any rights and serves only to aid in understanding of the legal code.

Essentially, the license is equal to an MIT license with a blacklist added.

The blacklist is by company and extends to companies whose main purpose is to support those companies.

This license was created as a sort of middleground between AGPL and MIT, for those who wish to allow commercial use of code, including as a service, but still restrict some companies from using the code at all.

Being present in the blacklist may be due to unethical behavior. It may be due to being an effective monopoly. It may be due to repeated misue of open source by refusing to contribute back. It may be for some personal offense. It may be for some stupid and trite reason.

If your company/group is on the blacklist, you are unsure why, and you would like to know why and/or be removed from the blacklist please contact license@codechild.com and plead your case.
